Boys Varsity Swimming Crawls Through the Prelims

Rye Boys Varsity Swimming & Diving crawled through the prelims Tuesday night.

“Last night was prelims, finals are top 16 which swim again tonight [Wednesday],” said Rye Boys Varsity Swimming & Diving Coach Kelly Johanson. “Ethan Zhou placed 8th in the 50 free and 12th in the 100 back.”

The season stands 2-6. Other highlights:

  • The 200 free relay (Zhou, Laverty, Capaldi, Redd) placed 15th
  • The 400 free relay(Laverty, Redd, Ladyzhensky, Zhou) placed 13th
  • Michael Ladyzhensky placed 25th in the 200 IM and 27th in the 100 back
  • Tripp Redd placed 25th in the 100 breast
