Boys Varsity Tennis Dogs the Huskies

Rye Boys Varsity Tennis dogged the Huskies on Tuesday, 5-2 at the away match.

“Today the singles players put Rye ahead early with 2nd, 3rd, and 4th singles all winning with the identical scores of 6-0, 6-0 and not allowing a single game,” said Rye Boys Varsity Tennis Coach Sue Dickson. “Although he lost, number one Nicolas Echlov had a hard fought match with Harrison’s Alex Marino winning 7-5, 7-5. Both number 1 and 2 Doubles pulled out wins which involved exciting tie-breakers. It was a great day at the beautiful Harrison tennis courts. Needless to say the bus ride back was jubilant.”

The team is 4-3 for the season. The Garnets face Harrison at home this Thursday at 4:30pm.
