Boys Varsity Baseball Put in Hutch by Eastchester
Rye Boys Varsity Baseball was put in the hutch by Eastchester on Tuesday, falling in the away game rematch 1-4.
“Tough one today, however the team battled till the last out,” said Rye Boys Varsity Baseball Coach Michael Bruno. “A few missed opportunities that we did not capitalize on, (we have to) give credit to Eastchester once again they came through with the two out hits when needed. I thought Derek Woods pitched very good in the loss – only 2 earned runs in 6 innings pitched. Freshman Jake Kessner had a two hit game and scored the only Rye run.”
The season shifts to 14-2. Varsity plays Harrison at home at 4:45pm on Thursday.
