Boys Varsity Baseball Puts Eastchester in the Hutch to Advance
Rye Boys Varsity Baseball put Eastchester in the hutch to advance its post season. The Garnets took the win at home 2-1.
“In the first round of the double elimination semi- finals Sophomore Shepherd Griffiths pitched brilliantly against a very good Eastchester squad,” said Rye Boys Varsity Baseball Coach Michael Bruno. “Five innings of 1 run ball. Senior Captain Ryan Surhoff pitched 2 innings to pick up the win. He also HR’ed. Jack Margiloff scored the go ahead run in the bottom of the 6th.”
