Girls Varsity Field Hockey Sends Horace Greeley Up I-684, Heads to Finals
Rye Girls Varsity Field Hockey sent Horace Greeley up I-684 on Thursday, winning at Nugent 2-0. The Garnets head to section 1 finals against Lakeland on Saturday.
“It was a tough game to the very end,” said Rye Girls Varsity Field Hockey Coach Kelly Vegliante. “They shut down our passing game the first half but we worked hard to change fields and find each other. Our defense played lights out and carried our team tonight. They shut down Greeley in our defensive circle. Our girls gave it their all tonight. Both teams played hard. Now onto Lakeland!”
