Woman Arrested After Vehicle Pursuit on I-95

NEW YORK STATE POLICE OFFICIAL NYSP-Logo 2012A woman has been arrested on charges of Unlawful Fleeing a Police Officer in a Motor Vehicle 3rd degree, Reckless Endangerment 2nd degree, and Resisting Arrest after a vehicle pursuit on Interstate 95 in Rye.

On Monday, at approximately 8:45am, New York State Police attempted to stop a vehicle on I-95 southbound, in the city of Rye for a vehicle and traffic violation. The driver failed to comply, and a pursuit ensued. The vehicle exited I-95 at exit 18B (White Plains) and pulled over on the right shoulder momentarily, before taking off. Troopers terminated the pursuit due to unsafe actions of the suspect vehicle while entering the village of Mamaroneck. A short time later, the vehicle was located parked on James Street and Warren Avenue in the village of Mamaroneck.

The driver, Brianne R. Jeremy, 27, of Stamford, CT, was instructed to exit the vehicle where she resisted arrest. She was eventually taken into custody, transported to SP New Rochelle, and processed without further incident. Jeremy was charged with Unlawful Fleeing a Police Officer in a Motor Vehicle 3rd degree, Reckless Endangerment 2nd degree, and Resisting Arrest; all Class A Misdemeanors. She was released on appearance tickets returnable to the City of Rye Court on December 13, 2022 at 9:00am.
