Rye Girls Varsity Basketball MVP: Maddy Walsh

The 2022-23 Rye Girls Varsity Basketball MVP is junior Maddy Walsh.

“Maddy Walsh earned the title of Varsity Girls Basketball MVP this season,” said Rye Girls Varsity Basketball Coach Margo Hackett. “Maddy was our only captain and helped to lead our young team to a 15 win season. Maddy is a vocal leader both on and off the basketball court. She plays the point guard position and averaged 6 assists and 5 steals per game in her junior season.”

“Maddy’s talents spread far beyond her athletic career as she is a dedicated student taking all honors and AP courses. Though she is only a junior, Maddy will be continuing her athletic career playing soccer at the United States Air Force Academy. Rye Girls Basketball is fortunate to have Maddy for one final basketball season!”
