Rye Girls Varsity Lacrosse traveled to Connecticut on Saturday to face the #4 in the nation New Canaan Rams. The Rams took a run at the Garnets, taking the win 17-7.

“Rye came out flying with a hot start scoring the first 3 straight goals of the game after making some big defensive stands/saves,” said Rye Girls Varsity Lacrosse Coach Michelle Mason. “New Canaan started to click on the draw and offense. We had opportunities but struggled to capitalize and maintain possession. We worked extremely hard and showed that we can compete with one of the top teams in the country. This game was a fantastic learning opportunity that will prepare us for our upcoming league games in section. We are very proud of the team, their grit, and their buy-in. Fired up for Monday at home!”
