Boys Varsity Tennis Falls to Scarsdale
Rye Boys Varsity Tennis fell to Scarsdale B on Thursday 3-4 in an away match.
“While the doubles teams struggled with close matches, the singles players helped to earn points for Rye today,” said Rye Boys Varsity Tennis Coach Sue Dickson. “First singles player Nicolas Echlov won 6-0, 6-2. Alex Gordon played second and won 6-2, 6-3, and although Matthew Templeman lost a very close match in a super tiebreaker, eighth grade Lou Kim-Reuter pulled out a great 4th singles win, 6-1, 6-1. Rye lost some close opportunities and will begin to build on their past successes to come away with some more victories in the future. They are ready to apply themselves to rising up in the league and staying positive and hard working.”
The Garnets are now 4-2. The team hosts White Plains on Monday at 4:15pm.
