From Bulldogs to Garnets: Midland Elementary Celebrates the Class of 2023

Thursday evening, the third Rye elementary school, Midland, welcomed its 95 fifth grade graduates across the bridge into middle school. Held at Rye High School – many of the fifth grader’s future high school – families, friends, and administrators congregated to congratulate the future Garnets.

Fifth grader Chiara Montanini opened the ceremony with a greeting towards her fellow classmates, family and friends, which was followed by a flag salute, led by Caroline Gallagher.  Midland Principal James Boylan then addressed the graduates.

After the presentation of diplomas, Bianca McHale, the Midland Elementary assistant principal, gave some closing remarks. The graduates finished off the evening by performing the “Midland School Song.”
