Girls Varsity Tennis Send New Ro Down the Post Road
Rye Girls Varsity Tennis sent New Rochelle back down the Post Road empty handed after a 6 – 1 Garnet win in the team’s first match of the season.
“Freshmen Alex DiMeo kicked off her high school tennis career with a sturdy 6-1,6-0 win at first singles,” said Rye Girls Varsity Tennis Coach Tony Campbell.
“Also newcomers to the team, freshmen Isla Keller and sophomore Abby Roberson won their doubles match in equally convincing fashion 6-0,6-1. Across the board it was a solid opening match against a delightful and enthusiastic New Rochelle team.”
The Garnets travel to Eastchester for a 4:30pm match on Thursday.
