Girls Varsity Soccer Flies Over the Eastchester Eagles on Senior Night

Rye Girls Varsity Soccer flew over the Eastchester Eagles at home on Friday night for a senior night 5 – 0 win.

“All seniors had contributed to nicely to the win,” said Rye Girls Varsity Soccer Coach Rich Savage.

Senior captain Isabel Harvey drilled home her first goal of the night from Charlotte Keenan who drew three defenders and dished off a beautiful pass. Rye started the second half extremely strong, with Lyla Keenan scoring off a corner from teammate Bowyn Brown.

Shortly thereafter, Maddy Walsh would dazzle the fans with her dribbling skills, beating three Eastchester defenders and setting up Harvey for the second goal of the night. Harvey’s hat trick would come at the 18 minute mark of the second half with an assist from Maddy Walsh.

Senior Karenna Chader spent the first half in goal making three saves and finished the match on the pitch and contributed with an assist to Paige Vanneck who would score Rye’s final goal of the night.

The Garnet record is now 8 – 2. Watch the replay. Rye is at Howell Junction to take on John Jay East Fishkill Saturday at 2:00 pm (watch it).
