Rye City: Revised Sanitation Pickup in Wake of Blizzard 2010

Eleanor Militana in the Rye city manager’s office has asked MyRye.com to post the revised garbage pickup schedule in the wake of blizzard 2010. Apparently the folks at public works have been "inundated with calls from residents regarding Sanitation pickup" – so here are the goods:

"Sanitation Pickup will resume on Tuesday, December 28th as follows:

For residents with regularly scheduled Monday recyclables & garbage pickup:
Recyclables and garbage will be picked up on Tuesday, December 28th

For residents with regularly scheduled Tuesday recyclables & garbage pickup:
Recyclables and garbage will be picked up on Wednesday, December 29th

For residents with regularly scheduled Thursday recyclables and Thursday garbage pickup:
Recyclables and garbage will be picked up on Thursday, December 30th

For residents with regularly scheduled Friday recyclables & garbage pickup:
NO COLLECTIONS WILL BE MADE

Please place garbage/recyclables at curbside or ensure that there is a shoveled path to garbage.

Please note that due to the holiday this week – there will be NO Sanitation pickup on Friday, December 31st.

The regular Sanitation pickup schedule will resume on Monday, January 3, 2011.
