“The Urban Coyotes Band” will be performing a concert at Rye Town Park as part of the park’s Twilight Tuesdays concert series.
Blending gritty, electric blues with mandolin, banjo and other acoustic instruments, the Urban Coyotes deliver their own alt-grass interpretations of classics from the likes of REM, Rolling Stones and Wilco, as well as updated covers of The Decemberists, Ray LaMontagne, Old Crow Medicine Show and others. They have recently released an album of new material.
Band Members include: Paul Jensen, guitar, harmonica, vocals; Paul Hennessee, bass, vocals; Jon Dykstra, piano; Jerry Pasquale, drums; and, Denise Adorante, banjo, mandolin, guitar, vocals.
The concert will be held on Tuesday, July 10 at the park’s south pavilion, located by the beach near the Dearborn Avenue entrance to the park. The concert will start at 7:30 p.m. and end at 9:00 p.m. Admission is free. Call for parking rates. Nearby residents are encouraged to walk.
Space in the pavilion will be set aside for dancing, which is highly recommended for people of all ages.
All concerts will be held rain or shine, except in case of thunderstorms. Picnicking is welcome. Some seating will be available, but people are encouraged to bring blankets or beach chairs. Food cart service may be available.
