Due to the impending snowstorm, all Rye City Schools will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, March 7. Thank you and be safe.

This is the City of Rye Police with a Winter Storm Warning. The National Weather Service forecasts snow beginning this evening at 10pm to 4am Thursday. Heavy snow expected with accumulations of 6 to 12 inches. Potential for coastal flooding in low lying areas and strong wind gusts. Have flashlights, charge batteries, cellphones and only run generators outdoors. We still have power lines down – do not touch downed wires. Try to remove vehicle from public roadways for snow clearing.
