New Road to be Named After Former Rye Mayor Ed Grainger

A new road in the City of Rye will be named Grainger Way, after former Rye Mayor Edmund Grainger. Grainger, known for his fight against the Oyster Bay to Rye bridge in the 1970s (then it was a bridge, today it is a tunnel), passed away in 2015.

The new road wil be created as part of a recently approved subdivision of 3 Club Road by the Apawamis golf course.
