The Boys Soccer Team continued its week of road games with a statement victory over Edgemont High School, controlling the game from start to finish and winning 6-0. The Garnets have a combined score of 10-1 in their first two games of a weeklong “road trip”, after defeating Walter Panas 4-1 yesterday.

“It was great to see Kasen Scarperi get two goals,” Head Coach Jared Small told MyRye.com in his postgame report. “It was also a lot of fun to see some top notch finishes from Harrison Zimmer, Owen Wismer, and Luca Zambianchi.” Small also cited the defensive efforts of Nico Etinger and Tadhg O’Brien, who helped lock down the left side of the field and prevent Edgemont from garnering any semblance of an attack on that side.

Zambianchi had an assist to go along with his goal in a multi-point performance. The Garnets dominated the center of the field with William Christiansson Molin and Louis Koide playing key roles in the middle. Aydan Breen and Martin Fields combined on the first clean sheet of the season.

The Garnets are on the road again on Tuesday, September 17th, at Tappan Zee High School. It’s the third away game in three days for Small’s squad, which boasts an impressive 5-0 record so far on the season. Watch the Tuesday game here.
