Boys Basketball Handles Bronxville Behind Nine 3-Pointers
Rye Boys Varsity Basketball made it two in a row on Thursday evening, as they defeated Bronxville 67-38 in a dominant road victory. Rye drained nine threes to account for 27 of their points.
Carson Miller led the charge for the Garnets with 20 points in just 2.5 quarters of game action. He knocked down three shots from beyond the arc to lead the team.
“The defense was excellent again, holding Bronxville to only 38 points,” Head Coach Tommy Proudian told MyRye.com. “I am very proud of the way the team has bounced back winning back to back games after suffering a tough 3-point overtime loss in the season opener at Nanuet.”
Rye (2-1) has looked excellent since their season opening loss, with victories over Bronxville and Rye Country Day by a combined score of 139-75. Their next challenge is a tough Suffern team on Saturday, December 21, at 1:00pm (watch it).
“We are building momentum leading into tough match up @ AAA Suffern HS Saturday afternoon,” Proudian told MyRye.com. “The boys and I are looking forward to the challenge.”
