Rye Playland Ice Casino lost power tonight (February 27) during Rye Hockey’s semi-final playoff game against Byram Hills, causing the game to be suspended.
Rye held a 4-1 lead with about 13:00 to play in the third period before a power failure caused the ice surface to become too dark to continue the game.
It is unknown at this time when the game will be resumed, with Rye looking to advance to the Division 2 finals against familiar foe Pelham, who have already advanced.
