The Rye Boys Soccer team won their seventh game of the past eight on Monday, October 6, as they outclassed Eastchester 4-1. Alec Dodge Terra scored twice and the Garnets’ only goal against came on a late penalty, as the team cruised to their ninth win of the 2025 campaign.

“We did a lot right today, and we are pleased with the number of quality scoring opportunities we generated,” Head Coach Jared Small told MyRye.com on Tuesday. Our back line was solid, and while it would have been fantastic to keep the clean sheet… that doesn’t take away from the performance of defenders like Cole Furber, Will Christiansson Molin, Lex Cox, Owen Wismer, Silas Kavanagh, and Christian Hofmann. Our goalkeeper Will Alexander was confident in his decision making throughout the day.”

The Garnets took a 2-0 lead into halftime thanks to goals from Felix Wismer (his 5th tally in the past two games) and Connor Dehmer. Dehmer’s was an emphatic finish into the upper 90 after several minutes of Rye sniffing a goal but struggling to bury their chances. The game may have played out a lot differently had the freshman forward not broken the dam before the first half concluded.

Dodge Terra added two insurance goals in the second half, including one confident strike off the post in the 70th minute. Those came in handy as the Garnets conceded a penalty kick with time winding down to lose the clean sheet. That was the only blemish on a truly complete game from front to back.

Rye (9-1-2) hosts Pelham in their next game on Wednesday, October 8. Game time is scheduled 5:00pm at Nugent Stadium. Watch it here.
