The Rye – Rye Neck – Blind Brook Swimming and Diving team earned a 101-83 victory on Wednesday, October 8, as they defeated Byram Hills – Briarcliff – Weslake – Valhalla for the first time this season. The team improves to 6-1, all in league play, as the regular season begins to wind down.
“The swimmers and divers had a great meet tonight competing against a very talented team,” Head Coach Katie Konopka told MyRye.com after the win. She oversaw her team reach the century mark for the first time this fall in their largest margin of victory of the campaign.
Meet Highlights:
- Lucie Megret from Rye Neck won the 1M diving event
- The 200M freestyle relay and 200M medley relay both placed first
- Kate Chesley won both the 200M individual medley and 100M backstroke
- Charlotte Tait and Julia Molin placed first and second in the 100M breaststroke, respectively
Rye – Rye Neck – Blind Brook (6-1) will look for their third win in a row on Tuesday, October 14, as they host another new opponent, John Jay-Cross River – North Salem, at 4:30pm.
