The City of Rye Fire Department has added a new firefighter.
Ryan Conway was sworn in Thursday morning, September 3, 2026 at Rye City Hall. He will begin in house training before starting the Westchester Career Chiefs Fire Academy next week.
Conway is a Rye Lifer. He graduated Rye High School in 2015 before heading to Quinnipiac University. He is a US Army veteran.
In a statement, the Rye Professional Firefighters Local 2029 said “We wish Ryan the best for a long and healthy career serving the City of Rye. With the hiring of PFF Conway, the Department in conjunction with the City, is taking another step forwards towards increasing staffing levels.”
