Activist Academy: Climate Change

ACTIVIST ACADEMY:

Teens, join the RFRR and the Rye Youth Council for another Activist Academy: this month welcoming Shannon L. Meseck of the NOAA/NMFS (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration/National Marine Fisheries Service to learn how acidification and climate change may affect the survival and growth of oysters, surf clams and mussels that live right in the Long Island Sound. Come and learn about ocean acidification through hands-on activities, how climate change can affect shells and oysters, and things you can do to help reverse environmental damage from ocean acidification.
