We are thrilled to announce the eagerly anticipated launch of this exhibition at The Rye Arts Center – “Black Artists in the Spotlight: Currents of Creativity.”  in honor of Black History Month, curated by Kicki Storm.

This compelling showcase is our tribute to the richness of the Black Artistic Experience. It will feature a curated selection of works that invites art collectors, patrons of the arts, community members, artists, and enthusiasts to explore the diverse stories and perspectives woven into each piece.

 The Rye Arts Center is proud to provide a platform that amplifies the voices of Black Artists, recognizing their significant contributions to the world of art. Through this dynamic exhibition, we aim to encourage our community to engage with the rich tapestry of creativity, cultural significance, and innovation that defines the Black Artistic Experience.

Venue: The Rye Arts Center Main Gallery
Opening Date: January 25, 2024
Closing Date: February 29, 2024
Opening Reception: February 1, 2024, at 6:30 pm
Artist Chat: February 10th, 2024 at 3 pm

Our special opening reception will feature a live DJ, light fare, and an opportunity to engage with emerging and established Black Artists,
whose works redefine the boundaries of creativity! 

 The Rye Arts Center will also host an Artist Chat on February 10,  offering visitors another  unique opportunity to engage directly with the featured artists and gain insights into their creative processes!
