Have a 6th grader? Join Rye Youth Council and Kathleen Brigham, founder and director of Brigham Learning, to help you gain insight into what to expect with the middle school transition and how you can support your new 6th grader.
During this workshop you will learn:
- How is middle school academics different from elementary school?
- Why is 6th grade an executive function challenge?
- What can parents can do to support students with the start of 6th grade without doing TOO much?
- What is helpful and what is not?
- When to step in and when to step away?
