Dear RHS Seniors and Parents/Guardians of Seniors, This afternoon, the District received new guidance from the New York State Department of Health that dramatically changes the COVID requirements at this Saturday’s (rain date: Sunday) RHS graduation ceremony in Nugent Stadium. Capacity limits have been lifted so each graduate can now invite up to 6 total guests Fully-vaccinated individuals do not need to wear masks or be socially distanced when with their own family party Masks are required for unvaccinated individuals outdoors Social distancing is encouraged between separate family groups/parties Testing We no longer require proof of vaccination, positive COVID test result within 90 days, or proof of a negative PCR test to attend Graduation. The District’s day-of COVID testing is canceled. Tickets As previously communicated, two tickets per graduate will be distributed at a table outside the Middle School today, Thursday, and Friday from 3:00-4:30 p.m. You are not limited to two guests, but the tickets will denote the designated seating section that will afford the best view of your graduate. Families will be seated apart (socially distanced) from other families within Nugent Stadium. Our most sincere thanks to all for being flexible throughout the pandemic. Once again, we are asking folks to pivot with short-notice guidance changes. In this instance, we are pleased that the changes will allow more attendees at Saturday’s graduation ceremony.
