The Inside Scoop on the Transition to Middle School

Learn about the transition to 6th grade from kids and parents who have been there!

Back for the 5th year! This program is for 5th graders and their parents/guardians to hear all about the transition to middle school as told by . . . middle schoolers! Hear students in 6th-8th grade share their experiences when they began middle school. Topics range from changing friendships, homework worries, navigating hallways and lockers, and more.

The middle school panelists then take the 5th graders to the library’s teen room, where they will answer all the kids’ burning questions, one kid to another. 5th-grade parents will remain in the main room and will hear from the panel of middle school parents, with ample time for Q&A.
