The Sustaining Presence – Online Exhibition Celebrating Black History Month

An event every 27 days that begins at 8:00 am, repeating until March 1, 2023

Clay Art Center honors Black History Month with an online invitational exhibition – “The Sustaining Presence: Stalwarts of African American Contemporary Clay”, guest curated by Syd Carpenter, that celebrates Black ceramic artists from across the US. All of the works are available for purchase on the website.

In addition, a virtual artist talk “In Conversation – The Sustaining Presence” will take place on Wednesday, February 8th at 7pm EST. This event will be moderated by Syd Carpenter, with guest participating artists from the exhibition.
