About the Artists
Jon Doty – Drummer & Composer
An accomplished drummer and composer, Jon Doty has performed and recorded with jazz luminaries such as Stanley Cowell, Ron Carter, Bernard Wright, and Sonny Sharrock. A BFA graduate of the Davis Center of Performing Arts at City College NY, Jon studied under master musicians Michael Carvin, Charlie Persip, Jim Price, and Joe Chambers. As a bandleader, he released the critically acclaimed album Until The Last Star Is Out in 2003, featuring his quintet and nine original compositions.

Bob Gingery – Bassist
Starting his career in Northern California, Bob performed with top musicians including Roger Hogan and Dan Kinkle. Since moving to New York in 1999, he has performed with Jazzmeia Horn, Joe Beck, Brad Shepik, and Allan Harris, at venues such as the Blue Note, Birdland, and B.B. King’s Blues Club. A graduate of Berklee College of Music and City College of New York, Bob studied with Ron Carter, Geri Allen, and John Patitucci. He has been teaching at Concordia Conservatory for 15 years and is a faculty member at The Brearley School.

Tom Kohl – Pianist
Tom Kohl has performed extensively throughout the Northeast, both live and in studios, releasing five CDs featuring original compositions and interpretations from the Great American Songbook. A graduate of UMass Amherst, Tom is a faculty member in the music department at Rye Country Day School.
