Become Certified in Youth Mental Health First Aid (for Adults)
Youth Mental Health First Aid is like CPR for mental health. This course is designed for parents, caregivers, neighbors, and other caring citizens to learn how to help an adolescent (12-18) who is experiencing a mental health or addictions challenge or is in crisis.

This course introduces the common mental health challenges for youth, reviews typical adolescent development, signs and symptoms, and teaches a 5-step action plan for how to help young people in both crisis and non-crisis situations. Topics covered include anxiety, depression, substance use, disorders in which psychosis may occur, and more.

This course includes 2-hours of self-paced pre-work and a 4.5 hour Zoom-based class. Register on ryeyouthcouncil.org
