The National Weather Service is predicting heavy rain for Wednesday, October 19th. Residents should monitor weather forecasts and reports through this period. The outlook:

FOR WEDNESDAY…PREPARE FOR HEAVY RAIN…STRONG WINDS AND MINOR TIDAL FLOODING AROUND HIGH TIDES.

A WAVE OF LOW PRESSURE IS FORECAST TO ORGANIZE OVER THE SOUTHEAST U.S. TONIGHT AND MOVE NORTH ALONG THE ATLANTIC COAST ON WEDNESDAY.

A WIDESPREAD 1 TO 2 INCHES OF RAINFALL IS LIKELY…WITH A HEAVIER BAND OF 2 TO 3 INCHES POSSIBLE. THE HEAVIEST RAIN WILL FALL NORTH OF A COASTAL FRONT THAT WILL DEVELOP NORTHEAST FROM THE LOW DURING THE DAY WEDNESDAY.
