The Challenge Camp located at School of the Holy Child in Rye welcomed 16 children from Shanghai, China last week. The children participated in the camp's summer enrichment program for bright and motivated learners and were hosted by local families who's children attend the Challenge Camp.
The program bringing the children from China was started six years ago and has been interrupted twice – during the bird flu and the Olympics. It is the first summer the camp was held in Rye. The children spend their second week touring the country including Washington DC and Los Angeles before returning home.
