Rye Library Thursday Night: Superbugs: The Race To Stop An Epidemic

Who can beat wine and discussion of antibiotic-resistant bacteria on a Thursday night?

Superbugs book Dr. Matt McCarthy

The Rye Free Reading Room will host Dr. Matt McCarthy tonight, May 23, 2019 at 6:30 for a discussion of his new book, Superbugs: The Race To Stop An Epidemic. He will discuss his battle against superbugs, those antibiotic-resistant bacteria that threaten the lives of patients. Through a groundbreaking clinical trial, trace the history of bacteria and antibiotics, and discover new medicines and treatments under development.

There will be a wine and cheese pre-reception at 6:30 pm and a discussion at 7pm. The event is being held at the library's community meeting room.
