What you need to know to celebrate Rye High School graduating seniors:
- The “graduation car parade” is this Sunday, May 31st from 2pm – 4pm. Seniors in cap and gown and their families will caravan in decorated cars through Rye;
- Adhere is social distancing;
- Plot your viewing area using the map and route posted below;
Consider posting an online tribute for your senior. Each tribute will run as a story on MyRye.com and include the senior’s name, your tribute and a photo of the senior. All stories are also posted to our Facebook and Twitter accounts and distributed in our daily email. Learn more.
Other details for the “graduation car parade”:
- The Graduation Caravan will begin at 2:00 PM at Rye Playland and will proceed through the City of Rye according to the route below;
- Community members are encouraged to step outside and while safely distancing to cheer on the caravan in celebration of our seniors;
- Hold or post signs and decorate your fence, yard, etc.;
- This is the first ‘parade’ of the year in Rye and we should all be safe when joining in the festivities;
- Please be sure to wear protective face coverings and observe social distancing guidelines

3. PASS MILTON SCHOOL
4. Right on Milton Avenue
5. Left on Oakland Beach Avenue
6. PASS OSBORN SCHOOL
7. Right on Theall Road
8. Right on Playland Access Drive
9. Left onto Playland Parkway
10. Left onto Midland Avenue
11. PASS MIDLAND SCHOOL
12. Left on Grace Church Street
13. Enter Fireman’s Circle
14. Exit Fireman’s Circle onto Milton Avenue
15. Right onto Parsons Street
16. PASS RYE HIGH SCHOOL and RYE MIDDLE SCHOOL
17. Left onto Boston Post Road
18. Left onto Playland Parkway
19. Return to Rye Playland where car parade will end
