Playland will remain closed for the entire 2020 season.
Rye guy and county boss George Latimer has hinted at the closure over and over as the pandemic has continued. On social media late Monday night, Latimer made it official. “I made the tough but necessary decision, to be formally announced tomorrow: Playland Amusement Park will remain closed for the season.”
On the bright side, Latimer has hinted the county may hold drive-in movies in the Playland parking lot.
