Good afternoon RCSD sports families,

I am writing with some positive news regarding athletics. The DOH has cleared Rye HS Interscholastic Athletics to resume participation beginning October 14, 2020. While school is fully remote due to the number of students and staff required to quarantine, our coaching staff is able to continue our athletics programming.

As a reminder, any student who has been asked to quarantine by the DOH may not participate in any athletic event (practice or game) until their quarantine has officially ended. As a department, we have been working with our coaching staff on this communication daily.

Please remember that all students must continue to complete the COVID-19 Daily Health Assessment in order to participate.

Please know that we are doing everything we can to ensure our students are safe with the return of athletics. We are looking forward to seeing our student athletes return tomorrow!

Sincerely,

Susan Reid Dullea

Director of Athletics RCSD”
