Rye Girls Varsity Indoor Track scored a variety of bling at its Section One season kickoff at the Armory Monday evening.
“The team competed well earring quite a few medals,” said Rye Girls Varsity Indoor Track Coach John McGee. “Freshman Signe Olsborg was 1st in the high jump at 4’6 and Blanca Navarro Bandeira was 1st in long jump with a jump of 15’4.”
The team also saw strong performances by Cate Doyle in 55 meters at 2nd place, in the 55 hurdles Logan Bardy was second, Keira Baden 4th and freshman Sophia Bubeck was 6th. Megyn Coyne was 3rd in the 300 and 3rd in the long jump. Aine Kennely ran well in the 3000 placing 3rd. Sofie Fu scored in both the long and triple jump.
The next meet is at RCC on Wednesday, December 15th at 4:30pm.
