Joan P. Merrill passed away peacefully on January 13, 2022. Born in Rye, NY on January 7, 1929 to William McGough and Mary Ross McGough, she grew up in Port Chester, NY, and graduated from Port Chester High School.
Joan was proudly employed with Pitney Bowes in Stamford for many years before her retirement. She loved gardening, cooking and traveling with Ken, her beloved husband. She is survived by her cousins Jeanette Beauchesne of Hernando, FL and Winifred Patricia McMahon of Middletown, RI. Mrs. Merrill was predeceased by her husband of almost 60 years, Kenneth Merrill, her father William McGough, mother Marie and stepfather Albert Johnson, and brother Ross McGough.
A memorial service and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in remembrance for Joan Merrill, to a favorite charity.
