Rye Boys Varsity Hockey papered the Pawling Tigers at the Playland Ice Casino on Thursday afternoon for a 7-2 win. The #1 seed Garnets advance to the Section One championship.
“Henry Bagley was an offensive force for us today setting the pace with four goals and an assist,” said Rye Boys Varsity Hockey Coach Peter Thomas.
Tommy Richardson, Ivan Vasyuta, and Tommy Broderick each added a goal while Jack Broderick had two assists and Dempsey Brown, Lucas Tsuchida, and Will Weinman each added one assist. Brandon Morgan made 17 saves for the win.
The team is 15-6 for the season. Rye will play the Pelham vs. John Jay winner on Sunday at 1:00 at Sport-O-Rama for the Section One championship.
