Rye PD made a DWI arrest this past Saturday in the wake of an accident on the Thruway Access Drive in the area of Old Post Road. The St. Regis Residences, Rye and Westmed Urgent Care are on the access road.
At approximately 6:39pm Saturday, Rye Police Officers responded to a motor vehicle accident on the Thruway Access Drive. Juan Diego Velasquez, age 60, of New Rochelle, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.
All tickets issued to Velasquez are returnable to the Rye City Court on November 7, 2023. Rye PD reminds you that booking charges are merely accusations and the defendant(s) are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
