Joyce Larder, 88, of Huntsville, passed away Tuesday. Joyce was raised in Harrison, NY, and lived in Rye, NY before coming to Huntsville in 1980. A longtime member of Grace Lutheran Church, she was also a member of the Sweet Adelines (a women’s barbershop choir and quartet group). Joyce served on the board of Christmas Charities year-round for over 25 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Larder. Survivors include her children, Eric Larder and Kristin Guidry (Sean); grandchildren, Brittany Barnett and Katherine Barnett; and great-grandchildren, Katana Stone and Grayson Barnett.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, January 15, at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 18, at Grace Lutheran Church with Pastor Russ Gipson officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Grace Lutheran Church and School, or Christy Care Senior Day Care.
