Rye Teachers Association Welcomes Back Students
Wednesday, March 10, 2021
The Rye Teachers Association consists of all the teachers, counselors, librarians, social workers, psychologists, reading, writing, and occupational therapists, secretaries, nurses, clerks and computer aides in the Rye City School District. We have always worked in conjunction with our superintendent, Dr. Byrne, and all District Administration to make sure that the children of Rye receive the best possible academic and social experience. The challenges of this past year have made this more difficult, but we have all come together to ensure that our students would continue to receive rigorous instruction via a hybrid model, something which had never been done before. Throughout this process, we have worked endless hours with Dr. Byrne to reach our ultimate goal – filling the halls of our buildings with eager students, in a safe and organized fashion.
All the members of the Rye Teachers Association are beyond excited to welcome the children of Rye back to full time in-person instruction! We would like to take a moment to acknowledge that the success in educating our children during these unprecedented times has been made possible through consistent collaboration with the families of Rye. Thank you for your flexibility, your patience, and most of all, your support. As the saying goes, “It takes a village…”, here in Rye, we are so fortunate to have a whole city. Welcome back to school!
