Rye, NY School Closings and Weather Delay Schedules

The national weather service has issued an advisory for Rye, NY tonight, January 13th. School closing information is posted below:

RAIN WILL GRADUAL MIX WITH SNOW…THEN CHANGEOVER TO ALL SNOW
AFTER MIDNIGHT. THE SNOW WILL INCREASE IN INTENSITY OVERNIGHT. THE
SNOW MAY BE HEAVY AT TIMES BEFORE TAPERING OFF MONDAY MORNING.
TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS ARE EXPECTED TO RANGE FROM 4 TO 7 INCHES.

A HEAVY SNOW WARNING MEANS SEVERE WINTER WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE
EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF SNOW ARE FORECAST
THAT WILL MAKE TRAVEL DANGEROUS. ONLY TRAVEL IN AN EMERGENCY. IF
YOU MUST…KEEP AN EXTRA FLASHLIGHT…FOOD…AND WATER IN YOUR
VEHICLE IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY.

Information regarding delays in Rye, NY school openings or cancellations because of inclement weather is available from the following sources:

1. The school switchboard will play a taped message after 6:45 a.m., which can be heard by dialing 914-967-6100.

2. Area radio stations will broadcast delay and closing information between 6:00 and 9:00 a.m.
