The Rains Spares Rye, Rye Pool Says Goodbye for 2008
(PHOTO: One really big poncho) The turf field and track at John Nugent Stadium at Rye High School was closed on Friday and a tarp was put down in anticipation of the bad 3-6 inches of rain that hit Rye and the the surrounding area on Saturday. Rye’s Blind Brook curls around one side of the field. Saturday’s varsity football game at Pleasantville was moved to Sunday due to weather.
(PHOTO: Goodbye Summer) On Sunday, the weather reversed course and gave us all a terrific final day at the Rye Golf Club pool for the last day of the season.
