Employee Negotiations Subject of Special City Council Executive Session this Tuesday – January 20, 2009
The City Council has called a Special Meeting for Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. in the Mayor’s Conference Room. It is expected that the Council will adjourn into Executive Session to discuss employee negotiations. No further information is available.
The next regular meeting of the city Council will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2009.
Another secret meeting?????
This is not shocking given that our Rye City Council routinely spends more time in Executive Session than in public session.
Why all the secrecy Mayor Otis?

“Discourage litigation. Persuade your neighbors to compromise whenever you can. Point out to them how the nominal winner is often a real loser – in fees, expenses, and waste of time. As a peacemaker the lawyer has a superior opportunity of being a good man. There will still be business enough.”
