Nicholas Patrick is headed to space in December.
(PHOTO: Nicholas Patrick – not at the Rye YMCA pool) The UK native and now US citizen who considers both Rye and London his home towns, Patrick will be headed into space for the second time on space shuttle mission STS-130 as a mission specialist. The mission “will deliver a third connecting module to the International Space Station and a seven-windowed cupola to be used as a control room for robotics” according to NASA.
Patrick has already been to space on STS-116 in December 2006.
