Seems like a pretty clear signal from the community to the RTA and their supporters; e.g., personal attacks, attempts to win through bullying and intimidation, pursuit of personal self interest over those of the children and the residents are a formula for failure. I can only hope that the RTA leadership and their strident community backers wake up. Similarly, I truly hope that the harsh, uncaring, unkind, senseless rhetoric that has been posted by more than a few on this board does not reappear. The nastiness was uncalled for and unnecessary. This election demonstrated that might does not make right and that common sense will out. Thank you to the real community for showing up today.
I DO NOT BELIEVE ANY ONE NEEDS TO PLACE A COMMENT HERE!! THE DISTANCE BETWEEN VOTES SAYS MORE THAN ENOUGH!
Commissioner….. you can relieve the officer from his duty of baby sitting and let him do some real police work on Midland Ave. protecting our children!
I do want to comment – congratulations to Nathan, Slack and Schmitt on their win, and please keep working hard on providing our kids a quality education while controlling costs!
