Y(MCA)? We Need the Parking, We’re Hiring!—Items on the Agenda for City Council Wednesday – May 27, 2009

The city council agenda is out for Wednesday, May 27, 2009. See you at 8pm at City Hall or on Cablevision Channel 75 and Verizon Channel 39. We'll also see you on the Internet (next day) at https://rye.peg.tv.

Let's check the batting order and highlights from the 18 agenda items. The city council will enter executive session at 7:50 p.m. to discuss personnel matters.

  • Open Mic. Never dull. Residents may be heard who have matters to discuss that do not appear on the agenda.
  • It's a Wash. Presentation of the City of Rye Stormwater Management Program 2008 Annual Report.
  • Take a Hike. Temporary Traffic Safety and Trails Committee Project Update.
  • Y(MCA)? Consideration to set a public hearing to restrict parking on Mead Place.
  • Not Pretty. Consideration to set a public hearing for July 15, 2009 for a Special Permit Application (#TC011) submitted by MetroPCS New York, LLC to co-locate a wireless telecommunications facility on the roof top of 66 Milton Road.
  • We're Hiring! Resolution authorizing the Mayor to sign an employment agreement with Francis J. Culross to serve as Rye City Manager effective May 27, 2009.
  • STOP! Bid award for one Printer/Cutter for Sign Shop for the City of Rye Department of Public Works.
  • Step Up. Bid award for reconstruction of the City Hall Steps for the City of Rye Department of Engineering.
  • Paid. Seven re appointments to the Finance Committee, three for terms ending January 1, 2010, two for terms ending January 1, 2011, and two for terms ending January 1, 2012 by the Mayor with Council approval.

The next regular meeting of the City Council will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2009.
