Flooding, Meter Money, Garbage—Agenda for City Council Monday – November 18, 2009

Let's check the batting order and highlights from the thirteen agenda items for the city council meeting this Wednesday, November 18, 2009. There is also a Budget workshop immediately preceding the council meeting at 7pm.

Highlights:

  • Open Mic. Residents may be heard who have matters to discuss that do not appear on the agenda.
  • Flooding. Public hearing regarding the New York State Capital Assistance Program for flood
    mitigation for the Sluice Gate project.
  • Save $$. Resolution authorizing the refunding of $11.8 million of serial bonds of the City of Rye,
    Westchester County, New York as a cost saving measure.
  • Meter Money. Proposal to create a Parking Benefit Fund for the Central Business District.
  • Garbage. Authorization for City Manager to enter into an Agreement with the County of Westchester for the disposal of Recyclable Material as well as a disposal of Solid Waste for Members of Refuse Disposal District #1.
  • Buckle Up. Acceptance of Grant Award from Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee in the amount of $2,400 for participation in the “Child Passenger Safety” program.

The next regular meeting of the City Council will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2009. The City Council will hold a Budget Workshop on Monday, November 30, 2009.
