City Council Meeting Tonight (02-10-2010) Postponed With Exception of Two Approvals Needed
[UPDATED: As of 1:30pm, plan is to televised shorter meeting live on Rye TV.]
From Rye Mayor Doug French this morning:
We are postponing the Rye City Council meeting tonight due to the weather; however, the Council will meet to award the Stimulus projects and enter into the IMA [inter-municipal agreement] with the County for the Sluice Gate. All other agenda items and presentations are canceled. In effect, we need to come in and vote to move these projects forward and I anticipate that will happen without any delays.
The super-abbreviated meeting will begin at 7pm, not 8pm as usual.
See the original agenda.
No word yet if these two items will be broadcast on Rye TV.
Wasn’t able to make last night’s meeting. Any comments or info? The meeting wasn’t on TV today.
Honest Citizen,
Meeting was very informative and in my opinion a step in the direction of action.
All PTO Pres. & Co-Pres. were present and spoke. I did not recogonize anyone there to represent the RHS/RMS but I left when that came up so it is possible someone was present.
If there was a disappointment out of last nights meeting, it was, as usual, the dance around the subject of ENFORCEMENT!
Everyone, and I mean everyone, knows this entire Safety issue can not even come close to a positive solution without the cooperation of the men & women in blue A.K.A. THE RPD!!!
This needs to be addressed and corrected, if not, we will be forever fighting an UPHILL BATTLE!
